Caps & Gowns

The caps & gowns designated for UConn ceremonies will be available from the UConn Co-op (860-486-2653). If you are unable to come to the Storrs campus, you may obtain caps & gowns from the Co-op on your campus; however, it is more convenient to order them to be delivered with your guest tickets (go to Guest Tickets for more information). Caps & gowns will be available for purchase in mid March. The receipt from this purchase must be retained to obtain guest tickets.

For UCAPP and sixth-year students in the Neag School of Education may order their regalia and hood directly from the UConn Co-op. Please note that you should request a Master's regalia package with a hood representative of the institution where you received your most recent Master's/graduate degree. When placing your order, you will be asked for the name of the institution. The UConn Co-op will provide you with the appropriate colored hood for that particular college or university. Please place your order early so that there is sufficient time to procure your hood. You will wear your Master's hood as there is not a designated hood for a sixth-year certificate/diploma. We look forward to your participation in this ceremony at the University of Connecticut Neag School of Education.

Cap & Gown Order Form

To avoid the last minute rush, you are strongly urged to purchase your cap & gown from the Co-op as early as possible.

Proper dress should be maintained. Mortarboards should be worn straight. Tassels should be placed on the LEFT; position is NOT CHANGED after degrees have been conferred. Tassel color is determined by School or College and by degree awarded.

Men will remove their mortarboards for the singing of the National Anthem.
